Hazel Hanley

Osteopath

Hazel discovered osteopathy when working in the drinks industry and hurt her back lifting crates of wine. She saw an osteopath and was soon feeling a lot better and armed with information to avoid the problem returning. Ultimately her experience led her to train at London School of Osteopathy to become an osteopath, and after 6 years of training and over 1000 clinic hours Hazel qualified in 2013. She is fully insured, registered and regulated by the General Osteopathic Council

In the 10 years since qualifying, Hazel has been lucky to find that her work is really interesting and every day is different. She’s met lots of interesting people and helped them with conditions as varied as back and neck pain, sciatica, arthritic problems, work and posture related issues.

Every year Hazel does substantial additional training, recently completing a two year Diploma in Women’s Health at the highly regarded Molinari Institute of Health and this specialist training, alongside Mummy MOT training, allows her to support women, particularly during pregnancy, postnatally and with pelvic health.

Osteopaths specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. MSK problems are varied and can cause pain, stiffness and reduced function anywhere in the body. If you’re not feeling 100% it can limit your ability to get on with all aspects of life such as work, playing with and caring for children, exercise and sleep.

At an initial consultation Hazel will take a detailed case history where she will ask about your complaint and your general health. She will discuss the working diagnosis with you and together will agree a treatment plan which may include ‘hands on’ manual therapy techniques such as massage, stretching, joint mobilisation and manipulation as well as cranial methods. She will also offer postural, ergonomic and lifestyle advice as well as exercise suggestions to help you take control and start feeling yourself again.

If you have any questions or would like to know whether osteopathy can help you, please get in touch with Hazel who is more than happy to have a chat.

Book online Hazel keeps some flexible appointments each week that are not available for online booking and will always do her best to fit everyone in, so if you can’t see what you need please join the waiting list or send her a message.
